New 2025 Hyundai Venue Launched with Enhanced Features and Refreshed Design

New 2025 Hyundai Venue – Hyundai Motor India has officially launched the 2025 Venue, introducing significant updates to its popular sub-compact SUV. The refreshed model features a bold new design, enhanced powertrain options, advanced technology features, and improved safety equipment, reinforcing its position as a strong contender in the highly competitive sub-4 meter SUV segment in India.

Launch Overview and Highlights

The 2025 Venue marks the first major update to the model since its facelift in 2022. Unsoo Kim, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor India, emphasized that the new Venue builds on the success of its predecessors while introducing features previously unseen in the segment.

“The 2025 Venue represents Hyundai’s commitment to providing innovative and feature-rich vehicles that exceed customer expectations,” said Kim during the launch event at Hyundai’s headquarters in Gurugram. “With enhanced styling, advanced technology, and improved performance, the new Venue is designed to appeal to young, tech-savvy consumers who seek a premium experience in a compact package.”

The updated Venue will continue to be manufactured at Hyundai’s state-of-the-art facility in Chennai, with over 70% localization to ensure competitive pricing and easier maintenance.

Design and Exterior Updates

The 2025 Venue features Hyundai’s latest ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language, with a completely redesigned front fascia dominated by a wider parametric grille and new LED headlamps with H-shaped DRLs that align with Hyundai’s newer models. The front bumper has been redesigned with larger air intakes and a more pronounced skid plate, enhancing its SUV character.

In profile, the Venue retains its compact proportions but gets new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels (up from 15-inch) on higher variants and stronger character lines. The rear receives connected LED tail lamps with a light bar running across the tailgate, a sportier bumper design, and dual exhaust tips on turbo variants.

Hyundai has introduced four new color options for the 2025 Venue: Starry Night Blue, Ranger Khaki, Fiery Red, and Atlas White with black roof, bringing the total color options to nine. The dimensions remain largely unchanged at 3,995mm in length, 1,770mm in width, and 1,617mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,500mm, maintaining its sub-4 meter classification for tax benefits.

Powertrain and Performance

The 2025 Venue offers three powertrain options, including an updated turbo-petrol engine:

  1. 1.2L Naturally Aspirated Petrol:
    • Power: 83 bhp at 6,000 rpm
    • Torque: 114 Nm at 4,000 rpm
    • Transmission: 5-speed manual only
    • Fuel Efficiency: 18.15 kmpl (ARAI certified)
  2. 1.0L Turbo GDI Petrol (Updated):
    • Power: 120 bhp at 6,000 rpm (up from 118 bhp)
    • Torque: 172 Nm at 1,500-4,000 rpm (up from 172 Nm)
    • Transmission: 6-speed iMT (intelligent Manual Transmission) or 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission)
    • Fuel Efficiency: 19.2 kmpl (iMT), 18.8 kmpl (DCT)
  3. 1.5L Diesel:
    • Power: 116 bhp at 4,000 rpm
    • Torque: 250 Nm at 1,500-2,750 rpm
    • Transmission: 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic
    • Fuel Efficiency: 23.4 kmpl (manual), 21.8 kmpl (automatic)

The turbo-petrol engine has been recalibrated for better low-end torque and throttle response, addressing a common criticism of the previous model. The 2025 Venue also features three drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport) across all powertrain options, allowing drivers to tailor the driving experience according to conditions and preferences.

Market Positioning and Competition

The 2025 Venue continues to compete in the highly contested sub-compact SUV segment against the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. With its enhanced features, expanded powertrain options, and competitive pricing, Hyundai aims to strengthen its position in this segment.

Industry analysts view the introduction of ADAS features and the panoramic sunroof as strategic moves to differentiate the Venue from its competitors. “The 2025 Venue raises the bar in the sub-compact SUV segment with its premium features and advanced technology offerings,” noted automotive analyst Avik Chattopadhyay. “The addition of ADAS features brings premium safety technology to the mass market, while the panoramic sunroof addresses the growing consumer preference for premium features in compact vehicles.”
